Natural Hair Products and Hair Routine Redux

I could go on and on about my hair journey, but I won’t overwhelm you with all of the ups and downs that have happened. Instead this entry will provide quick tips and a to the point overview of what has provided positive results or Growth Retention!

Overall, my hair has responded pretty much the same regardless of the hair products that I use. Gentle hair handling and hair maintenance has been the key for the most hair retention.

Hair is growing and will continue to grow, but to retain length breakage must be minimized.

Hopefully, this hair routine redux will eliminate or reduce your hair fuss and experimentation. Enjoy and I hope you have a healthy, happy, holistic hair journey.

Hair Products Used:

My ‘Sensitive’ Scalp Approved Shampoo:

Suave Daily Clarifying Shampoo
Suave Rosemary and Mint Shampoo

Suave Shea Butter and Almond Shampoo

Trader Joe’s Tea Tree Tingle Shampoo

Clean Quickie: Part your hair in 4 equal sections, apply your favorite oil to the ends of your hair. Braid each section of hair and secure the ends of your braids. Apply shampoo to your scalp. Rinse and enjoy having less breakage!

Smoothing and Moisturizing Conditioners
Pantene Moisture Renewel Conditioner
Suave Shea Butter and Almond Conditioner

Tresemme Naturals Nourishing Moisturizing Conditioner

Conditioned Quickie: Unbraid each section (work on one section at a time), apply conditioner concentrating on the ends of the hair, comb through with a wide tooth comb or hair pick, and rebraid. Apply a plastic cap and deep condition for at least 30 minutes. Rinse and detangling will be a breeze…

Leave-In Conditioners
Cantu Shea Soft Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioning Repair Cream
Giovanni Direct Leave-In Weightless Moisture Conditioner
Infusium 23 Leave-In Treatment

Smooth Quickie: Always add a leave-in conditioner if you have dry hair. Keep your four loose braids and smooth leave-in conditioner through each section. This will help to make your styling so much easier.

Sealing Quickie: Apply your favorite oil to each section of hair concentrating on the ends. This will help to seal all of that conditioning moisture into the oldest and often driest part of the hair. After this step your styling process will be easy breezy, and your results after drying will be stunningly beautiful!!!

After these quick steps I am able to style my hair in beautiful braid outs or twist outs, or even enjoy the simplicity of a very defined wash and go.

Tie your hair up at night with a silk scarf or silk cap, apply oil to the ends.

I hope that this helps to provide you with an easy transitioning or natural styling guide.
